I looked up the Apophis asteroid for a chapter I'm working on in my Ultraman Zero fic, and I am greatly amused to see that it appears to have been named for the bastard in Stargate SG-1.

I had so many jokes when that asteroid was discovered and named. Something about <here we go again with another of Apophis' schemes to conquer Earth</i> or something. It's been a while since I was into SG-1.

Same. Honestly, I forgot so much about it that I'm amazed I remembered Apophis enough to think of the asteroid for this research. I couldn't even remember Ba'al, and I loved him so much more than Apophis.

Baal was honestly so much more charismatic as a character.
