I did know this information, from what I've read about the comics--I haven't gotten very far in reading the comics themselves. However, while this is interesting information to digest, since I'm reviewing the cartoon, I'm doing my best to stick to the cartoon characterizations. I'll draw a comparison or a contrast when appropriate if I can, but for the most part, I have to treat the comic as a separate canon that merely inspired the cartoon. I don't want to come off as saying "I don't care about the comic," but here, the personalities of the original characters in the comic don't apply. It's all interesting to learn, though.
