Thanks for the review. When I saw how overprotective Chen and Joan Lin were to their daughter's movie-going request, I thought, "Now why does that sound familiar? Oh yeah, because my parents are just as overprotective as them." As a matter of fact, my parents are still a bit like that despite that I'm already a grown woman. It's a culture thing.
Some of things I did not like about the animated version of WITCH is that they made Hay Lin so ditsy and oblivious to many things than her original counterpart in the comic series.
