Reviews

So I've decided I'm going to try to watch an episode of PRiS every Saturday and write the notes for it. This means that reviews will hopefully be once a month, so I hope that doesn't wear me out too much. I haven't had any progress on them in over a year because I've been swamped--applying for grad school, my schedule at work (which, this summer, was "what schedule?" with so many changes and so much overtime), and just overall lack of enthusiasm.

I rarely get comments on my reviews, which didn't really bother me until the whole W.I.T.C.H. fiasco when someone reposted my reviews in their entirety to several communites on deviantART without my permission, and suddenly OH LOOK, PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY COMMENTING. Babylon 5 was a show I was much more excited about in terms of character development and plot and rebounding from sudden changes, and the OOO Challenge was insane but exciting, since I had so many characters and plot threads to care about.

The hard truth is that PRiS does not. It's about one guy and his quest for his sister and his quest for a mentor he's never actually known or interacted with, and oh yeah, there are 4 other Rangers from the season before who we should be continuing development with but aren't, and didn't we have a Silver Ranger or something? It's still one of the best seasons, but I have to say it is FAR from Judd Lynn's best.

But the Sudarso Blues got me excited about Power Rangers again, and since Dino Super Charge resumes on Saturday, I feel like I should be using this newfound enthusiasm to finish up PRiS. After that, it'll probably be a while before I do RPM, which I'm really only doing for Dino Charge and Go-Busters reviews. I also still want to do Gaim and Fourze, but honestly, I'm not sure if I can. I start off excited, but I put a lot of effort into it with the distinct feeling nobody's listening. And OOO was a lot of work, and I love everything I did for it, but when even the game I wrote the reviews for died out, it feels like "what's the point?"

So we'll see how this goes. I don't want to burn myself out, and I definitely want to be doing my writing. "Project Silver" needs a lot of work in revisions, and it has to compete with three other fics. Plus, I still have to apply for grad school and hope I get in. So here goes.
