It's not that I particularly missed the fight scenes, but it's just weird seeing a Rider movie with that few of them.
I got lucky - the friend who got me into Rider with told me to watch Paradise Lost after episode 36 of Faiz. Paradise Lost is probably my favorite Heisei Rider movie after Decade's All Rider vs. Dai Shocker or W A to Z and Accel movies. (I love the fight scenes and some of the characterization in Paradise Lost, and it has the inexplicable and hilarious subplot about the random guy taking an unconcious Takumi and brainwashing him into being his daughter's boyfriend that is never mentioned again.)
You know, I have nowhere to talk on the dork thing given that after I got angry after watching Rebuild of Evangelion 3.33 while low on sleep and drinking too much caffine, I ended up (and still am) running a FATE Core Tabletop RPG that's a cross between Ryuki and Evangelion thematically out of frustration with 3.33.
