To be fair, it might pick up - I'm only six episodes in, and it's got some interesting premises going. It also has a guy who's reaction to a friend of his: A) Turned into a rampaging monster B) Attempted to strangle his wife to death C) Murdered his old racing rival D) Nearly killed many police officers E) Keeps screaming there are "MONSTERS EVERYWHERE!" F) Then he blew up a news helicopter. is to scream how nobody's giving poor Gerd a chance, and they're saying such lies about him in the media and he's still a hero. And this guy has seen A, B, D, E, and F in person. Hermann, you're such an idiot.
Also, while I like Ren and Zuko... if the Ryusei you're referring to is Meteor from Fourze, he's a good chunk of the reason I stopped watching Fourze halfway through. My god, he's just a smug unlikeable bastard to me. (That, and Magnet States results in the second worst fight scenes I've seen outside of Hyper Kabuto. For the love of god, don't design a Rider suit so bulky they can't throw a decent punch.)
