Yeah I agree, it was really a pile of fail these last two episodes. They could have done so much more with it.
Although what I figure is that the Security measures allow for subvocalization. Y'know, in case someone gets gagged or something they can still morph with the words being uttered. Kind of how in Operation Overdrive where they morphed by slashing their morphers across the enemies in an attack. Best scene EVER in that damn season. That, and Once a Ranger.
