Unfortunately, the cabin is ~historic~, which means I can't actually do any major alterations. Which a satellite dish or antenna is. Also, it's cheaper to just spend the money for unlimited data on my phone and use that as a hotspot. And at least I have one irritating service provider to deal with, instead of two*.
* Fuck Spectrum and their insistence on 1) not providing a mailing address to send hardware back to without having to go through UPS or FedEx; 2) hitting me with a "you sent the wrong modem" bill even though I know I sent the only one they ever gave me. At least Verizon is everywhere.
