Let's do the timeline again?

So early into my writing process on this Ultraman Zero fic, I decided not to worry too much about what the timeline was, the way I did throughout my OOO fics (particularly "Kings and Vagabonds" and its universe). There were two reasons for this: first, I started this fic in 2020, and I don't know if you noticed, but it was a bit of a year. The whole damn 20s are a bit of a decade, really.

So the second reason is ultimately the most compelling: The Ultra timeline makes no goddamn sense.


Starting off, treating Ultra Galaxy Legends: Mega Monster Battle as the "present day" since it's the movie that I'm basing this fic off of. Given the MMB timeline, then that puts "present day" at roughly 2059 or later, based on what I'll break down further.

Right now, let's go back as far as the main timeline will go (not even going to cover Tiga, Trigger, or any other universes because then I'll never be done).

Unspecified points in prehistory
Alien Reiblood rules the universe. Translations are spotty, so it's either he "ruled for 100,000 years" or he "ruled 100,000 years ago," which seems less likely based on the timeline.
--Chief rivals are the Yapool and Alien Hipporito
--He is eventually defeated and loses his physical form, but he still manages to spread his DNA all around town.

Ultraman Noa...was born? Came into being?
--Later at some point, he went to Earth and dealt with that whole Flood thing and became known locally as "Noah." Only the people of Baradhi knew the full truth.

Circa 300,000 years ago
The man who will become Ultraman King is born.

c. 270,000 years ago
Planet/Star of Ultra is a vibrant, peaceful society of advanced humanoids.
--Flashbacks in MMB movie and Ace indicate some level of Greco-Roman imagery, though less than on U40.
--Then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked when the sun went nova, creating the M78 Nebula
--Scientists put together the Plasma Spark. The resulting radiation spill gave the entire planet and a significant part of the galaxy superpowers and giant sizes, as you do.
--(presumably) Becomes known as "Land of Light"

c. 160,000 years ago
Ken (future Father of Ultra) and Belial (future asshole) born.

c. 140,000 years ago
Marie (future Mother of Ultra) born.
--Interesting to note a 20,000 year age difference between them, which honestly might not be a big deal when they're up in their 100K's. Still kinda weird they are 1 Ultraman apart in age.
---Ultras' ages make no fucking sense.

Alien Empera begins the Ultimate Wars (Taro, Mebius, UGF: TAC)

Between 30,000 - 20,000 y.a.
Zoffy born.

Whatever you're supposed to call Ultraman Hikari is born (seriously, they outright contradict him being named in-series by humans, and in the SAME GODDAMN SERIES).

Between 30,000 - 12,000 y.a.
Ultimate Wars
--Ken and Belial act as soldiers
--Young Zoffy (maybe between 5000 - 10,000 years old) joins battle, gains notoriety
--Questionable canon: Ace's biological parents are killed, Ken adopts him
--Absolute Conspiracy: Marie gives Ken the Ultimate Blade, a holy sword that her family somehow has. He powers up, temporarily gaining the form of Father of Ultra, and defeats Empera (also in Mebius).

Ultraman born.
--Did not have a name at birth (Ultraman ep 1)

19,000 or 17,000 y.a.
Ultra Seven born
--Conflicting information due to Tsuburaya posting his age as 17,000 in 2021 for 55th anniversary commemorations. Previously had been 19,000, but nothing has been addressed about this.
--Did not have a name at birth, or at the very least went by "no. 340" (Ultra Seven final episodes)

Ultraman Jack born
--I don't even know if he had a name? Dude went by "Ultraman," "Shin," "Returns," and finally "Jack." Would not be surprised if they decide to say he's a serial identity thief.

Aftermath of the Ultimate War
--Inter Galactic Defense Force created, with Ken placed in charge.
--Belial tries to steal power from the Plasma Spark, gets his ass banished, then gets possessed/fused with Reiblood's spirit. King shows up to seal his ass in a Borg cube prison.
--Ken and Marie marry.

Ultraman Taro born. And actually has a name.

--Planet appears to be largely unknown, outside of D60's diplomatic relations.

Ultraman Titas born
--Shit going down on U40 means that his parents, having betrayed their people and gone to join their leader in a dark nebula, gave birth to him in that nebula. However, they were apparently better and more responsible than some other parents on this list and sent Titas to U40 so that he could make the decision whether or not to join them when he was older.

--6800 y.a.: Ultraman Mebius
--5900 y.a.: Ultraman Zero
--5700 y.a.: Ultraman Ribut, Sora
--5000 y.a.: Ultraman Fuma (Planet O-50, apparently main universe version?), Ultraman Zett

----Mebius takes on Hiroto's form, tries to move in with Hiroto's grieving father, who is gracious enough to call Sakomizu for help explaining why this is a horrible idea, rather than beating the shit out of the stupid little potato.
----Mr. Ban names Mebius's human form "Mirai Hibino," in the hope that his "future days" on Earth will be good
----Serizawa is killed, leaving Ryu Aihara the only survivor of GUYS Japan
----Sakomizu conceals his identity and takes up the captain job and needs all the coffee in the world after recruiting both Mirai and Ryu.
----Mirai recruits the only other humans he's met who aren't horribly traumatized by him.
--Hikari gets better, and Ryu renames him.
--Ultra Bros regain their powers (Mebius and the Ultra Bros)
--Empera returns and gets his ass spectacularly handed to him.

Zero tries to touch the Plasma Spark
--Seven arrests him, doesn't tell him their relationship, instead tells him he's not worthy of calling himself an Ultraman

--Rei is born just weeks before the series begins, rapidly ages to adulthood, and fights monsters like if Ash Ketchum had kaiju.

Mega Monster Battle: Never Ending Odyssey
--Reionics Battle
--Pendragon crew become aware of an alternate future where a Reionics destroys Planet Pedan, forcing several of its soldiers to travel back in time and avert the crisis.
----Don't feel too bad for them. They're still assholes.

Present day: 2 more years later
Mega Monster Battle movie
--Belial is freed, takes Giga Battlenizer and Plasma Spark, goes to Kaiju Graveyard
----Not a goddamn thing was changed about security. Not even a fucking babygate!
--Shin Asuka/Ultraman Dyna crosses into main universe, helps fight
--Zero's exile ends and he gets one hell of a family reunion.
--Belial manages to escape death and this universe (possibly figured out Asuka's whole world-hopping thing), heads to set up shop in the world of Planet Esmeralda
