Rider Chic
Jun. 21st, 2014 10:05 pmI really need to stop going with spur-of-the-minute ideas.
So I had this thought about how I'd like to do some Kamen Rider-themed accessories and fashions because I'm a dork. And I had this thought while getting stuff ready for the fashion design day and the Disney and superhero days we're doing at work. And while I was buying stuff for those days (and spending more than I honestly should be), I saw a charm of a twin lens reflex camera and got the brilliant idea to make a Decade themed necklace.

It took a couple of weekends, but I put it together. The charm I got for $2, I suspect on clearance, but I found a couple others on Etsy and ordered them since I have leftover materials. The pink and black crystals are Swarovski crystal elements on 20 gauge rose-colored wire, with a copper-colored jump ring suspending it to a thin leather cord. And because I don't trust my knotwork, I added a bit of hot glue to secure them.
Liz offered to buy this one, so when I have others made, I'll figure out a way to try to sell them too.
