Glaring at muses
Oct. 10th, 2014 12:45 pmIt's weird. When I write Ryuki, I can manage some fun, fluffy romance or friendship fics. Not quite the insanity of Fourze, but I write fun stuff there.
OOO? My imagination goes dark. And by "dark," I mean "pitch black."
There are some pretty dark fic ideas I'm trying to glare away. One is a potential sequel to "Kings and Vagabonds" (still in progress, getting utterly rewritten to be more similar to stuff I liked from Young Justice than my flaws in "The Theory of Everything"), which deals with an Eiji clone created by Foundation X and manipulated into evil, Eiji himself getting split between two copies due to a fuck up with GataKiriBa (ala a Ben 10 episode I hated), and Eiji's father caught in the middle with appointment to Prime Minister on the line. Issues of humanity, identity, and forgiveness.
The other idea? Inspired by Merlin Missy's amazing JLU/Batman Beyond fic "Time and Tide," taking place during the future side of Megamax, starring Ankh and featuring Miharu (thus needing to be called "Time and Tides"), and dealing with this awful theory I have that Eiji is dead 40 years in the future. And then the matter headcanon-ing Rider funerals and...yeah. Dark place. Interesting, but dark.
