Sailor Moon writing woes

The hardest part about writing a crossover with Sailor Moon? Having to ignore continuity. Having to say "It's the distant future, you shouldn't have to worry about it." Having to ignore the implications that the senshi will constantly be reborn and everything that's happened before will happen again endlessly.

It's creepy, is what I'm saying. And while this fic owes a lot to horror movies and The Thing, I'm trying not to make it nightmare-inducing.
