A review is coming soon, though I need to type up 3 episodes' worth of notes and do the fourth episode. What can I say? I've been sick for two weeks.

But a picspam, while somewhat time-consuming, is slightly less draining and easier to put together.

We start off with what, pre-Ryuki, was considered the best of the Kamen Rider Figuarts, W Cyclone Joker.

His accessories are surprisingly sparse--two scarves and some hands. Now, I know--Cyclone Joker doesn't have any weapons, so he shouldn't have much in the way of accessories. But I can think of a few features that you can add. Gokai Pink came with impossibly tiny Ranger Keys--maybe some even more impossibly tiny Gaia Memories? Or take advantage of the fact that the W Driver is removable and actually paint in which Memories are in there and use alt versions for a Maximum Drive, along with the slot on his side? Zeronos and NEW Den-O had that feature, and I really liked it. I guess part of that comes down to the pricing for Figuarts. It looks like for the barest bones Figuarts, they start at $30, like W here and increase from there until you find yourself completely confused how Ryuki Survive costs the exact same amount as the Ryuki/Dragredder package when strictly speaking, you're getting less for your money with Survive. (Worse? Wizard Flame Dragon Style is, at the time of this posting, less expensive than Wizard Flame Style)

Unfortunately, I think W is showing his age a bit. He's got the wonky shoulders that I can't stand and bizarrely still come up on Red Buster (adding to the problem of the Go-Busters being called more Kamen Riders than Super Sentai initially). By the time they get to Zeronos, the shoulders are substantially improved and look more like part of the armor and thus don't have that whole dislocated look. Yes, I did double-check Zeronos to be sure. Yes, I did end up knocking over the entire Nogami family, with Figuarts Kotaro actually bringing his sword down on gashapon Ryotaro. Yes, NEW Den-O Vega and Zeronos were the only ones who didn't fall. Nogami Luck definitely exists, guys.

The scarves fit right into a slot in the back, and I'm sure they'll prove to be every bit as irritating as Knight Survive's capes (as a note, the superglue didn't hold on at least one of them, so I get pissed off every time I have to dust him). Also, you might see here that the green coloring on him seems a bit more vivid than in the show. Judging by how my camera flash seems to correct it, I wonder if the paler green is just an effect of the light in-series, since most battles happen outside in brightly lit conditions.

Details on the legs are pretty good, though it can be hard to get the double-jointed knee to work with both joints, as I found out--I ended up thinking it was only a single-joint.

Overall, he's good, but if you want a little more detail and accessories, you might want to pick up the Chibi Arts W, which I got my youngest sister a few years ago when she very briefly liked the series.

And here he is with Joker and Fourze Elek States, ready to kick some ass on my very dusty TV stand (I've been sick--what can I do?)

Also, I apologize for all of the photos being doubled like that. It wasn't intentional to start.

And moving on, because I was so impressed with Kaldur, I had to get another Young Justice figure of one of my other favorite characters, Artemis!

Here's a close-up of the box:

Mine is a used one I picked up for a discount on Big Bad Toy Store, hence the odd pose and a missing piece I'll mention in a bit.

...Okay, now apparently my Den-O Figuarts are trying to prove that because Yuto marries into the Nogami family, he's not immune. I'll have to put him back up in a bit. Holy crap, how does that keep happening with these guys?

Anyway, back on subject, the diorama piece is two-part, and it also includes a spot for the included arrows and the target has spots on it where you can stick them in (since the trick arrows all have pegs to stick in.

As you can see, the piece I'm missing is her hair--the previous owner must have lost her ponytail. I'm not too bothered, to be honest. Just wish I'd known about the BBTS grading system for used items beforehand--you can't tell, looking at the package, that her hair was missing. And considering that a new version is now on sale, I'm headdesking for retrospect's sake.

Also, those arrows are sculpted into the quiver, which is a little disappointing. I was hoping I could put the trick arrows in. Oh well.

Her design, overall, is just as impressive as Kaldur's--good details, good articulation, and she manages a perfect blend of feminine and badass.

Better view of the upper body.

Her bow and display arrow. Yes, it's removable so you can put any of the trick arrows on it instead.

These are from me trying to figure out her pose, since all I know about archery comes from DC animated stuff, LOTR, and Robin Hood--and mostly Men in Tights at that.

Eventually I just put her on a Tamashii stand, held up with a claw holding onto her quiver while she was ready to back Kaldur up. And I swear I don't actually ship them.

Now to see if I can stop my Den-O stuff from falling down.
