Saving this for reference when I do the reviews for the show. But the way Andros and Zhane talk about how Andros got him to the Megaship is odd. Andros says, "He saved my life that day, so I took him here," like it was a last resort. And Zhane asks, "How did I get here?"

So I wonder if maybe the Megaship never was supposed to belong to the Rangers. It would make sense based on NASADA owning the Megashuttle and Zordon just leaving extra weaponry throughout space to help future Ranger teams. The Rangers of KO-35 probably were planetary based and, based on them having a good military ready for alien threats, they probably didn't NEED as much--the Megaship may have been a special ship that was reserved in case of emergency.

Huh. I don't remember the precise context of thsoe two lines from when I saw PRiS a few months back, but could those be referring to the desperation move of "Shove Zhane in the cryo-freeze, hope he gets better?"

Zhane weirdly enough, is my favorite Ranger in that series. Mostly for how amusingly dickish he can be (Psycho Silver, anyone?) while still being likeable and heroic... if he didn't keep vanishing at random. Seriously, you can make a drinking game out of episodes he randomly doesn't appear in for most or all of them when he's still with the Rangers. (As opposed to when he's dropped out to work with the KO-35 remnant.)

I thought that was the case at first, but the very next line is "So you froze him in this cryogenic tube to save his life." Admittedly, it could just be something not coming across clearly in writing--it's a Judd Lynn episode, and I have had long-standing issues with him since the Lost Galaxy reviews.

Zhane is a perfect example of how you can do a smug character who can be a dick at times but is also very kind and loveable. Unlike some people I will not mention. "Red With Envy" is a great example: he's a shameless flirt, but when he realizes that Andros likes Ashley, he says that he wouldn't try to cockblock, and then he's devastated when Andros tells him to keep out of the battle, though he still tries to help him save face, and finally realizes, "You know what? Andros and I are best friends. No way in HELL am I letting something like this get in the way." Considering how many of my favorite characters do end up being total assholes? Zhane is a refreshing ray of light.
