akinoameFirst off, gotta say. We have a brainwashed guy named Chase. Thank you, Power Rangers and Kamen Rider.
Have to admit, Dino Chase is growing on me. See, when we first met him, I was worried he might be the resident douchebag. But while he does have some issues, he's genuinely a good guy. He's Koda's best friend, for one thing, and really seems to take the time to try to help him adjust to modern society. And now it seems he has a pretty deep respect for Maori culture with his friendship with Moana--and I'm in shock they even said that she's a matakite and acknowledged that other cultures exist and didn't try to make it too overblown with mysticism. She's a Maori fortuneteller. Chase 100% believes and accepts it. That's all they needed to do. Power Rangers is learning from its mistakes in the past.
So Spellbinder's "pendant" (seriously, guys, that is WAY too big to be considered a pendant by humans at least, c'mon) survived the attack and may still have either some degree of control over Chase OR can still put others under mind control. I'm betting on them using this as a plan for Deathryuger. Also, liking the Sauron-seque shimmering and shining gold eyes they showed for the mind control on the guys. The whole thing with Chase not being able to concentrate was kind of annoying, though, since Power Rangers has a long history of introducing a flaw that never showed up before and will never show up again, but I suppose you can justify some of his behavior on some degree of attention-deficit disorder without hyperactivity. And yes, the skateboarding WOULD require him to focus to keep his balance, thereby acting as some form of therapy. But holy shit, Power Rangers, you are BANNED from baby carriages. Babies and kittens are NEVER safe in those! Do I have to remind you of Scott?!
