Fic stuff and technical difficulties

So now that I'm actually feeling better enough to do it, I'm going to try writing. I have a chapter completed that I can post on my birthday Saturday, but it just needs some editing.
Unfortunately, a problem is that there are some keys on my computer that are acting up. My laptop has been around quite a number of years and is doing great, but it's possible either the keys are dying or just dirty underneath. I'm hoping it's the latter, since it's much more fixable. And the letters are all important ones: d, s, and e.
I also have been thinking about the Christmas fluff piece I was writing to try to post back in December before Eiji decided that 10 pages of fluff was not enough, and...well, the premise is he has the flu. Given the pandemic right now, I don't feel like I'd ever feel comfortable going back to that premise, especially given some of the stupid-ass shit that Eiji pulls (namely walking around a crowded area while knowing he's sick). Although I do want to eventually reuse this glorious exchange where Ankh touches Eiji's head in public, says, "You're hot," and Eiji blushes because okay, yes, he knows what Ankh means but also that's probably not the best way to put it in front of everybody right now. And given I've just gone through this whole appendix thing and know firsthand how quick it can come on and how you try to ignore it and how urgently you get proven wrong...yeah. I could just use that as the premise. So I'm probably going to rewrite the fic, and post the unfinished original draft here. But it'll be a little down the line, since I'll be working on this Hina fic that was in no way going to be finished by the end of March, thanks to work stress ramping up with the pandemic, leaving me almost no free time (because I was making masks. and trying to manage a constant under-the-surface panic attack). Maybe this Christmas, then. Something to look forward to. Something to stay healthy for.
