Frustration

akinoameSo a few things have me frustrated right now and there's not much I can do about them, and that feeds into the frustration.
The biggest thing honestly is health insurance.
So I work for a nonprofit. They offer health insurance but it's not that great. And given that I get allergy shots every month and get quarterly check-ups with the allergist AND an ENT, I'd be spending $75 per visit (unsure on the shot cost). Not to mention that I know my primary care doesn't take this insurance company and I somehow doubt that my allergist does. MAYBE the ENT does but yeah.
I've been able to get by with Obamacare because the insurance work offers doesn't meet my needs. But now they seem to be tightening things up. Never mind the fact that I have had two surgeries in the past two years and make little money and already struggle to afford anything. So I have to spend all day on the phone tomorrow calling my doctors and finding out if they take this plan, then calling the company and finding out what I'd have to pay as far as allergy shots, and THEN having to call Obamacare at some point and say "Look, this is my problem" and explain shit and hope for the best.
If all else fails I can probably try to look at paying for a Bronze plan myself on my current plan. It looks like that might fit within my budget, even without a subsidy. That I would also have to call this company about to be sure. Because I really can't afford a potential $75 a month on top of paying $13 for the insurance. The Bronze I saw looks like it would be $60 a month and not having to pay for specialist visits. I'd just have to hope I don't end up needing surgery a third year in a row.
And then alongside that frustration, I had to send my laptop in for repairs before the warranty expired, because the casing is separating near the hinge. I only just got confirmation that they got it, so I'm hoping I get it back soon. I'm currently working off of my old laptop, but it's slow and there's something wrong with the keyboard. There's too many problems with it to fix, so it's a lost cause and only suitable as a back-up for basic things. I can't even write on it, since I don't have Word uploaded, and I really want to write my fic and work out some of this frustration. But I can't.
I managed to watch a little Ryuki yesterday and today on Shout Factory, and it helped a bit, but....yeah. Everything sucks right now.
